The Boardroom is a curated, one-on-one business advisory platform created by LuAnn Nigara. It connects interior designers, window treatment professionals, and other creative entrepreneurs with vetted experts for high-impact strategy sessions.
This is not a directory. This is not a course platform.
This is a trust-first, results-driven space for experts who deliver clarity, not fluff
Experts fall into one of three categories:
Boardroom Coaches – Business coaches with structured programs or ongoing 1:1 services
Boardroom Faculty – LU instructors or subject-matter experts who don’t offer coaching but provide consultative support
Boardroom Pros – Licensed or done-for-you professionals (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, bookkeepers, SEO pros, photographers)
Every board member is vetted based on experience, credibility, integrity, and their ability to deliver real value in a focused 1:1 session.
You set your own rate and availability.
Clients book directly through your profile, on the Boardroom for Creatives platform, upload any pre-session materials you request, and meet with you via Zoom.
You keep 65% of the session fee (net of payment processing). We handle booking, scheduling, payouts, and promotion.
Each session should deliver focused value, not a pitch.
Clients come with a specific issue. Your role is to provide clarity, next steps, and perspective they couldn’t get from Google, a course, or a DIY template.
Think: strategic partner, not content delivery machine.
We use a flexible, intent-based policy to protect your business model without limiting your impact.
When you join, you’ll be asked to clarify how your Boardroom sessions are positioned:
Strategic One-Off Sessions:
This is a self-contained, high-value consult. It’s not tied to a larger program, and repeat bookings are fine if availability allows.
Standalone Sessions Within a Bigger Business Model:
You offer structured coaching or a larger program but your Boardroom sessions are not meant as “entry calls.” They’re fully valuable on their own.
Pre-Program Discovery or Diagnostic Calls:
You use your Boardroom session as a way for someone to get a taste of your coaching style before committing to a longer engagement.
If your business includes a structured coaching program or group container, you can limit the ability for users to 1–2 sessions with you on The Boardroom. Not because we don’t want repeat bookings for you but to help project you from users circumventing your programs by using the Boardroom.
We don’t have hard-coded restrictions. Instead, we align session type with booking guidelines, so your high-ticket services aren’t inadvertently undercut by one-off pricing.
Yes, this is a co-marketing platform.
We promote you through LuAnn’s ecosystem (podcasts, email, social, etc.), and we expect you to do the same.
You’ll be asked to share your involvement through your email list, social platforms, and other owned channels.
The more you promote your presence, the more value you’ll get in return.
You’ll receive:
• A dedicated expert profile on the platform
• Exposure via podcast, email, and social promotions
• Onboarding guidance and content strategy tools
• A warm intro to a trusted audience that already believes in you
You do—within your pricing group.
You’ll complete a short, objective rubric that evaluates your experience, visibility, availability, and level of access. Based on your score, you’ll be placed into a pricing group, and from there, you can choose your rate within that group’s range.
Here’s why we use this process:
This isn’t about perception or personality. It’s about making sure your rate reflects the actual value of your business expertise, in a way that’s clear, consistent, and rooted in fact. The rubric is designed to remove guesswork and eliminate bias, so every expert on the platform is priced with integrity, based on what they’ve built and how they deliver.
That structure doesn’t just protect the platform, it protects you. It ensures your rate reflects your true authority, and it helps the user book with confidence, knowing the pricing is intentional and earned.
So while you get to choose your rate within your group, this system ensures every price listed is grounded in substance, not guesswork.
Board members are paid quarterly.
To ensure time for quality control and to honor our client satisfaction guarantee, session payouts are released at least 30 days after the session has taken place.
For example: if a session occurs on March 28th, payment for that session will be included in the Q2 payout, not Q1.
This gives us time to address any potential refund requests or client issues with care. If no issues are raised within that 30-day window, the session is approved for payout.
In our launch phase, we’ll be using simple, secure systems for booking, payment, and session delivery. Final platforms will be confirmed prior to onboarding, but may include scheduling tools, payment processors, and video conferencing platforms.
You’ll receive specific tech setup instructions once accepted.
When you make time available on your calendar, you’re committing to honor those sessions, just as you would for a paid keynote, coaching client, or consulting contract. This means:
• You may not reject a booking simply because you don’t recognize the name or don’t “feel like it.” If the time is open, you’re expected to serve the client who books it.
• You are not required to accept anyone manually, availability alone signals permission.
• If you have a prior ethical conflict or specific reason to decline a booking, contact our team immediately. These will be handled case-by-case.
We understand that emergencies and changes come up. If you need to reschedule:
• Provide as much notice as possible
• Use the platform’s reschedule tools (if available), or contact the client directly to propose new times
• Keep last-minute cancellations to a minimum. Multiple issues may affect your standing on the platform.
You’re never required to offer a certain number of sessions per month, but we do ask that your availability is intentional, realistic, and upheld with professionalism.
We run quarterly performance reviews based on:
• Client feedback
• Booking activity
• Alignment with platform values
• Professionalism and communication
Yes, and we encourage it.
That’s one of the benefits to you in this platform: warm, vetted leads for experts ready to serve at a higher level.
You keep 100% of any work you book beyond your Boardroom sessions. We do not take commission on off-platform engagements.
Clients can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the session start time. If they cancel on time, no payment is sent to you. If they cancel late or don’t show up, you’ll still receive your full payout.
Please avoid canceling whenever possible. If you must cancel or reschedule, please notify the client immediately and update your calendar availability. Repeated cancellations may affect your platform status.
